The main difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam are their placement and how they receive power.
Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard power outlets for nonstop power.
Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes anywhere indoors or out. It’s weather-resistant and comes in four different power options: battery, plug-in, solar and Power over Ethernet.
Indoor Cam lets you disable motion recording and audio right from the app. Plus, you can also use the app to turn off motion alerts, so you don’t get notifications while you walk around your home. You can also schedule your motion alerts to turn on at the same time you typically leave the house and turn off at the time you typically return.
If you have a subscription to Ring Protect, videos captured by your Indoor Cam will be saved to your Ring account for up to 180 days. You can also download your videos to save them for longer than 180 days.
Every Indoor Cam comes with a free 30-day trial of Ring Protect Basic. (Note: If you have a Protect Plus subscription for the location where you’re installing your new Indoor Cam, it will automatically be covered by your subscription.) Ring Protect Basic activates video recording and sharing for individual Ring Doorbells and Cameras. It saves all your videos to your Ring account for up to 180 days, so you can review what you missed and share what’s important. Ring Protect Basic subscriptions start at $4.99 a month per device. Ring Protect Basic only covers one device.
Ring Protect Plus adds even more to your home security. It includes video recording and sharing for unlimited Ring Doorbells and Cameras at your home, and it also comes with 24/7 professional monitoring with cellular backup for Ring Alarm, and more. You can connect your Indoor Cam to Ring Alarm in the app, and if your Alarm detects an issue, it can activate video recording on your Indoor Cam. Ring Protect Plus subscriptions start at only $10 a month per home.
